Plot[]

Part One[]

Olive and Otto are on an odd case where a man wishes for something and it actually comes true, like when he wishes for a basketball, he actually gets a basketball. It turns out he had purchased a magic lamp which grants him three wishes, which leaves him with two wishes. However, he also already wished for the sneakers that he is currently wearing, leaving him with only one wish left, which he is told to use wisely. The man then wishes that the agents came and told him that this morning. It then transitions to the morning of the same day, where the agents come and tell him that they heard that something odd was happening, which he now regrets.

Back at headquarters, Otto is doing work and Olive is relaxing and reading a comic. Otto comes up and notices Olive reading a comic which is "Shmumberman Versus Dr Soup". Olive starts spoiling the story to Otto and tries to hide it because Ms. O doesn't like Shmumberman. Ms. O then comes in and tells them that every time a new comic gets released, everyone stops working just to read the comic book. Otto tries to compare Ms. O and Shmumberman, but Ms. O tells them that they have nothing in common and decides to throw it out, with Otto and Olive resisting her from doing so because he hasn't read it yet and Olive only read it 96 times. They take out the put-away-inator and save-it-for-later-inator and start zapping it at the same time, just when Ms. O tells them not to do so, and they get sucked into the comic book.

They look different and they notice themselves look different. They notice some things including Shmumbly the butler. Just then, Ms. O calls them and checks on the agents, in which they are doing fine and they plan to meet Shmumberman only to find out by Ms. O that Shmumberman is outside. Ms. O calls for Oscar, and Agent Orrzack shows up and reminds Ms. O that Oscar is absent from headquarters this week due to a yo-yo show that he's holding.

Suddenly, an alarm in Shmumberman's suit goes off and he faints. Orrzack, who happens to also be a fan of Shmumberman, tells Ms. O that Shmumberman comes from the lost planet of Fruitlantis, which has a fruit juice core and needs to survive. Ms. O tells the agents to get out of the comic so that Shmumberman is able to get back in the comic. Olive tells her that Professor Straw can help since she is responsible for building stuff for Shmumberman and then hangs up. Ms. O orders Orrzack to help her get Shmumberman to his office and helps him. It actually goes easier because he is very light due to the fact that his bones are made out of bendy straws.

Back inside the comic book, Olive and Otto head to the Shmumbermobile and start driving it only for them to realize that they can't leave the page they're on. They're currently on page 1 and they are trying to get to page 30, which is when Professor Straw appears. They are given the change-a-number-inator. They use a number line on how to get to page 30 and they add 29 to get to 30. They fly all over the book all the way to page 30.

They find Professor Straw, who finds two people and thinks they're evil when they're actually not. Olive proves that they're not evil and continues to spoil the story for Otto who gets angry. She also tells Professor Straw to build a machine to zap them back into their world and zap Shmumberman back into the comic. She looks for the Shmumbertonium that helps them get back. She opens the cabinet and finds out that both the carrot sticks and Shmumbertonium are missing and now they can't be sent back. Olive then remembers that Shmumberman goes into a Shmumbertonium factory at page 15. They use a number line and then subtract 15 to get there. They fly to page 15 and crash land once again. Once they are at page 15, they head to get the Shmumbertonium only for them to find out that Dr. Soup stole it which means they are trapped in the comic forever.

Part Two[]

Olive and Otto are now stuck in the comic book and they can't escape or get Shmumberman back home. Olive is thinking that Ms. O is able to keep Shmumberman going in the real world because she has so many juice boxes that there is too much for her to run out of. However, unknown to them, in the real world, Ms. O has actually run out of juice boxes and she gives Shmumberman an orange to chew on so that he can gain energy. She also orders all the agents to bring the available fruit to her office.

Back in the comic book, Otto is wondering about what would happen if they got the Shmumbertonium back before Dr. Soup destroyed it on page 21. They decide to go to the page before it got destroyed, which is page 20. They use a number line for the third time and add 5 to get there. The factory worker tells the agents to take him with the agents since he has been trapped in the same comic page his entire life. They take him with them and head to page 20.

When they land there, they notice Dr. Soup, who is mad at those three for trying to steal what he rightfully stole and he doesn't like it when people spoil stuff for him and sincerely apologizes to three and then shoots chowder soup, and they hide behind a table to avoid getting hit. Ms. O checks in on them and tells them to get the Shmumbertonium while the Shmumberman is being fed fruit punch to give him life and he seems to be enjoying it.

Back in the comic, Otto thinks that Dr. Soup is terrible at rapping while splatting soup everywhere. However, Dr. Soup is rapping well. The factory worker decides to stop Dr. Soup by using his special skill of sucking up the soup that is targeted towards him. He gobbles up the soup with his mouth successfully as Dr. Soup keeps shooting it and continues doing so until Dr. Soup runs out. Once he runs out of soup, he admits defeats and leaves. The factory worker thanks them for the support. They take out the change-a-number-inator to go back to page 30 only to find out that it's jammed with soup. The factory worker offers more help,

Meanwhile, Ms. O, Orrzack, and the other agents are still trying to give Shmumberman more fruits and juice so that he restores his power. They only have pomegranates but it's hard to open. Ms. O has a dirty rag which was used to clean up a juice spill earlier and they give every last drop to him as well as from the empty juice boxes.

Meanwhile, back in the comic, the factory worker has finished licking the soup off the gadget, but he was only able to get the soup off of number one, number three, and the plus sign. However, that's not enough because they're at Page 20 and they need to get to Page 30. However, they decide to add three a bunch of times to get to 30. 23, 26, 29..., then it goes off the number line. However, they also have a plus one button which would get them to 30. They tell the factory worker to come with them, but he refuses to come since he has seen more of the comic book than he has ever imagined possible. He also decides to turn Dr. Soup's evil lair into a place of peace and justice since Dr. Soup has surrendered and he is tired after eating plenty of soup. They ask him what his name is which he replies that he doesn't have one and he is simply known as Shmumbertonium Factory Worker. Olive decides to name him Hugo, in which he loves the name, and she and Otto leave.

They add three and end up on Page 23 where the robots are firing their lasers. They add three again and land on page 26 which is an advertisement for juice boxes. They add three a third time and land on page 29. They add one more and finally land on page 30. They meet Professor Straw again who takes the Shmumbertonium and teleports them back to the real world. Meanwhile, in the real world, Ms. O and the agents have run out of juice, but Otto and Olive come out in time and they shoot the Juice-a-tron 6000 onto Shmumberman who is back to normal. He thanks Olive and Otto for their help. He also decides to take Ms. O to his world with him being the sidekick.

Meanwhile, Otto is reading the comic book, when Orrzack calls Olive and Otto into "his" office. Olive and Otto are confused on whether they should listen to him or not. Orrzack tells them to come up when they have the chance to do so and he is locked out of the office.
